CSUSB Undergraduate Student

  1. Deadline for Admission applications are:

    a. Winter Admission (January) October 1st

    b. Fall Admission (September) March 1st

  2. All applicants must file a Nursing admission application, their TEAS test results, and any official transcripts from previous schools to the Department of Nursing by the Nursing admission application deadlines above. Students must also attend a “Group Pre-Nursing Advising Session” within the past year and file “proof of bilingual proficiency” and “letters of recommendation” by the deadlines in order to receive credit for these.
  3. Applicants must possess a minimum grade point average of 2.5 overall and 2.5 on the nine (9) prerequisite courses listed below in order to be considered for entry. Applicants must earn a “C” or better in all courses required for the Nursing major.
  4. All prerequisites courses for the Fall admission must be completed by the end of the Spring term. Official transcripts of Spring term must be submitted to the Nursing Department by July 1st.
  5. All prerequisite courses for the Winder admission must be completed by the end of the Summer term.
  6. Applicants must complete the ATI-TEAS pre-admission examination by the admission deadlines above. Results are valid indefinitely.
  7. Must be California Resident per impacted status definition.

  2. BIOL 223 Human Physiology and Anatomy I (5)
  3. BIOL 224 Human Physiology and Anatomy II (5)
  4. CHEM 205 Fundamentals of Chemistry I: General Chemistry (5)
  5. CHEM 208 Survey of Human Biochemistry (3)
  6. COMM 120 Oral Communication (4)
  7. One critical thinking course that satisfies category A4 in the General Education Program
  8. ENG 101 Freshman Composition (4)
  9. One math course that satisfies category A3/B1 in the General Education Program
