Requirements (180 units)
Admission requirements:
1. California Registered Nurse License
2. Prerequisite GPA of 3.0 or higher
3. A.D.N. GPA of 3.0 or higher
4. Submit RN screening form and all transcripts
5. Application to CSUSB admissions with second set of transcripts
(Students who are close to these standards may be admissible upon
remediation.)
LOWER DIVISION GENERAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
This program assumes all lower division general education requirements
have been met. The IGETC is valuable, but not required. Some lower
division General Education requirements can be completed while the BSN
program is in progress, but this will extend time to graduation.

7. One critical thinking course (4)

9. One math course that satisfies the mathematics basic skills in the GE
program (4)
10. PSYC 201 Developmental Psychology (4)
Upper-division General Ed courses required for the Nursing major:
1. Natural Sciences Capstone (4)
2. Social Sciences Capstone (4)
3. Humanities Capstone (4)
4. Upper division writing requirement (4) OR exam (WREE)
Upper-division support courses for Nursing major:
1. MATH 305 Statistics: Hypothesis Testing & Estimation (4)
2. One integrative capstone course that meets the multicultural/gender
requirement in the GE program (4)
NURSING MAJOR COURSES
Sophomore Nursing Courses:
1. Students holding a current California RN license will receive 20 units
of advanced placement transfer credit for lower division nursing
courses. Credit for these lower
division nursing courses is given upon submission of a current, active
California RN License to the Nursing Department. The department will notify records of
the license number.
